Conference Photography — International Technology Firm, Porto

The brief was to document a three-day international conference for a global technology firm, with around 1,200 attendees spread across multiple venues in Porto, Portugal. Full event coverage was required throughout — C-level keynotes, breakout sessions, panel discussions, and the evening social events that closed each day.

Working across several simultaneous venues demanded precise coordination and a clear editorial eye: knowing which moment to prioritise, which speaker to be in front of, and how to move efficiently between locations without missing key content. Every day closed with an evening event, each with its own atmosphere and lighting conditions.

Daily selects of the most important moments were delivered to the client each evening, keeping their communications team fed throughout the event. The complete edited set was delivered two business days after the conference wrapped.

A particular asset on international assignments is being a native English speaker with full fluency in German — switching seamlessly between both languages throughout the event, whether briefing staff, coordinating with local crews, or communicating directly with international attendees and C-level speakers.
